Summer is here. That means concerts and music festivals are back to entertain the masses. A staple to New York City, the Governors Ball Music Festival is back for its 7th year in a row, from June 2nd to June 4th. The festival showcases the talents of many musicians from all kinds of different genres. The most notable genres being, indie rock, alternative rock, hip-hop, and EDM.
The festival, located at Randall’s Island Park, doesn’t stop at the music. Activities, games, and popular restaurants and food trucks will be all over the festival for everyone to enjoy. Lawn games, mini golf, silent discos, and experiences from top brands will keep festival goers entertained and refreshed while they wait for their favorite musicians to perform.
Charging stations like the Subway Green Room will give guests the opportunity to cool down and charge their phones in between sets.
The food vendors will be all the rage this year with options ranging from: a kimchi taco truck, a matcha bar, dessert filled waffles, and just about everything in between. Many of the vendors even offer or are based on vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
The Governors Ball Beer Garden will feature beers from the Miller family of beers, including Blue Moon, Leinenkugel, and Miller High Life. Scattered throughout the festival, you’ll be able to find different stations with drinks from craft breweries and craft cocktails as well.
Staying up to date with where your favorite band is playing or where you can get a place to cool down is easier than ever with the Governors Ball mobile app. Just download it to your phone, and you’ll have all the information that you need to keep the party going.
Headlining acts will feature Chance the Rapper, Phoenix, and Tool. With hundreds of more artists spread across the three-day festival, you are surely going to have the experience of a lifetime.
